Monthly Maintenance
Instructions

After every month of use we recommend changing the Water Filter, and draining and refilling your ice bath to maintain optimal submerging conditions and keep your ice bath in good working order.

  1. Start by draining your tub (See Takedown).
  1. Once fully drained turn the chiller off and unplug it.
  1. Unscrew the Filter Housing and throw away the used filter.
  1. Wash/Rinse/Wipe the Lower Filter Housing with mild soap and water as well as the underside of the Upper Filter Housing attached to the Chiller.
  1. Remove the water hoses, the Metal Strainer Cover, and the Inner Water Strainer from the tub.
    1. Scrub/Rinse the Inner Water Strainer and set aside.
  1. With a damp cloth wipe all 5 sides of your chiller.
  1. Using mild dish soap and water, wash down the inside and outside of the Tub and lid using a washcloth or soft sponge. If indoors and not very dirty use a damn cloth to wipe the Tub top to bottom.
    1. Place the Chiller Hoses inside the Tub and run soapy water through them.
      1. You can clean the hoses in a shower in a bathroom if indoors.
      2. If not dirty just rinse and wipe them down.
    2. Any marks or scuffs on the Tub can be removed by lightly scrubbing with a moistened Magic Eraser. Do not scrub aggressively or it may damage the material. Do not use on any logos or printed areas.
  1. Check the area where the Tub was located for any signs of mildew buildup and clean if necessary. If large amounts of mildew buildup are noticed, the Tub may need to be placed on a material that can breathe to allow water to evaporate. (See Accessories for breathable tiles)
  1. Check air pressure of the Tub by connecting the Double Action Air Pump and refilling to 10 PSI if necessary.
  1. Now that your chiller, hoses, tub, and lid are clean please follow Setup procedure to connect the tub to the chiller again.
  1. Refill with water, add a new water filter, and perform initial Sanitizer protocol to sanitize the new water.

✨ Tips For Performing Maintenance Indoors

💡
Tips For Performing Maintenance Indoors
→ If your ice bath is kept inside we recommend purchasing a silicon mat with a raised outer lip (Linked in Accessories) to perform maintenance on without spilling water directly on your floor.
→ You can also detach your Chiller from the Tub and move it to a different location to perform maintenance such as a walk in shower in a nearby bathroom or a garage if easier.
→ Unless you setup your tub right beside the door to a bathroom where you can use the Chiller and included Water Hoses to drain your tub first you will be using a sump pump to easily drain your tub for maintenance from
  • Start by turning off the Chiller off and unplugging it.
  • Close the Tub Water Valves to stop the flow of water between Tub and Chiller.
  • Carefully remove the hoses attached to the chiller 1 by 1 and place into the tub.
  • Remove the Water Filter Cover and Inner Water Strainer and set aside.
  • Screw the 2 drain caps into the INLET and OUTLET hose valves.
    • This keeps all water in the Chiller for transport.
  • Gather the power cord in 1 hand, open the handles on either side of the chiller and roll it to the location you want to perform
